why
metal-pless

Contractors have
ground to cover.

When a storm hits, snow removal contractors have more than one property to clear. They need to work across open lots and tight spaces, make the most of each operator and machine, and leave a clean surface for customers. Metal Pless snowplows are built for that work.

Time on site

Extra time spent on one property delays the next. Hydraulic wings let operators adjust their clearing width and move snow efficiently across larger areas.

More ways to move snow

One site may call for pushing and containing snow; another may require windrowing or backdragging. Adjustable wings on select Metal Pless models help operators change their approach as the job demands.

Make more of your fleet

Another machine or operator adds cost. Matching the plow to your loader, skid steer, tractor, or truck helps crews get more work done with the equipment they already run.

Cleaner scrape, less salt

Uneven pavement can leave snow behind. Available LiveEdge cutting edges follow the surface more closely, helping crews scrape cleaner and reduce their reliance on salt.

how we
help

Technology built
for the job.

Metal Pless builds snowplows for the equipment contractors run and the properties they clear. Hydraulic wings help operators move snow in different ways, LiveEdge follows uneven pavement for a cleaner scrape, and containment options help crews make each pass count.

LiveEdge technology

LiveEdge cutting edge sections move independently to follow uneven pavement. On equipped models, they help crews scrape closer to the surface and reduce the snow left behind before salt is applied.

Hydraulic wing system

Adjustable wings let operators widen the plow, contain snow, or windrow it as the job changes. Contractors can work across open lots and tighter areas without using the same plowing position for every pass.

LiveBoxx Snow Containment

The LiveBoxx uses fixed side gates to keep snow contained during a push. Available for compatible skid steers, backhoes, and wheel loaders, it gives contractors another way to move snow across large lots.

Other features

  • Lateral float

Automatically follows pavement imperfections for maximum coverage without operator intervention.

  • Horizontal float

Slip hitch design absorbs surface variations — reduces operator fatigue and protects equipment.

  • Wing trip system

Wings trip on obstacle contact without vehicle impact — safer for operators, less downtime for repairs.

  • Cutting Edge Options

The contractor lineup includes standard and heavy-duty edges, several LiveEdge configurations, Full LiveEdge, carbide options, Teflon and rubber or Rubber LiveEdge. Availability depends on the snowplow model and the surface you need to clear.

Testimonials

Airport operations managers don't measure a plow by its specs sheet — they measure it by what happens at 3 a.m. during a Category 2 snowfall. Here's what the people running winter operations at some of North America's busiest airports have to say about Metal-Pless in the field.

The AirportMaxx changed how we approach runway clearing entirely. We cut our average clearance time significantly and our salt budget dropped in the first season. The rubber LiveEdge is the real difference — zero surface damage, total contact.

Marc R. Fleet Manager — International Airport Authority, Canada

We've tried multiple plow brands over 20 years. Metal-Pless is in a different category for airport use. The hydraulic wing system on the MaxxPro Airport lets one operator cover what used to take two vehicles. ROI was clear within a single winter season.
